Joyfully Embracing Our Mission
St. Clare School Family News | 7 March 2020
Come! Live in the Light!
You are the salt of the earth. But if salt loses its taste, with what can it be seasoned?
It is no longer good for anything but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.
You are the light of the world.
A city set on a mountain cannot be hidden.
Nor do they light a lamp and then put it under a bushel basket;
it is set on a lampstand, where it gives light to all in the house.
Just so, your light must shine before others,
that they may see your good deeds and glorify your heavenly Father.
~ Matthew 5:13-16
Dear St. Clare School Families,
This week’s letter is meant to be short for I am sure you have read enough of my posts for the past week. If you haven’t read them, please take the time to do so as they are an important part of our community practice in light of keeping everyone as healthy as we possibly can.
I am grateful to all of you who have helped with sanitization efforts. Please continue to call the office and give of your time to do so. We also request donations of sanitizing wipes, paper towels, liquid soap, hand sanitizers and other items that are in short supply at the moment. We also appreciate your attentiveness to symptoms of illnesses in your household and thank you for keeping students home.
I am also grateful to our faculty and office staff for their patience and for the care they show our students who are having a difficult time or who are not feeling well. They truly treat your children like their own. They are absolutely wonderful!
As I have mentioned in previous communication, please keep abreast of the developments through the Santa Clara County Public Health Department who have been doing an amazing job coordinating communications with us and with the Diocese of San Jose. If you remember Molly Carbajal, a former St. Clare parent, she has been in contact with us directly. We also thank Luisa Rapport and others who have been supporting their efforts.
As always, our focus must always be on our students. Please be mindful of the influx of information our students are receiving. For their benefit, please help them keep the information in perspective. We appreciate your partnership and for keeping us informed of developments in your household.
Congratulations to our second graders who shared the gift of God's mercy and love in the Sacrament of Reconciliation for the first time.
In these days, let us continue to be kind to one another and to treat everyone with compassion and love.
Be safe and healthy!
Peace.
